Don't ignore bad behaviour or persistent problems. Here are a few ideas on how to have your say...
Whether it's a matter for the police, London Borough of Camden or any other authority, the message we get from those in charge is that the best way to get something done is to report problems, incidents and concerns.
A crime or anti-social behaviour incident
How to report:

Illegal parking
The easiest way to report a crime or antisocial behaviour is online at:
https://www.met.police.uk/contact/af/contact-us-beta/contact-us/ or crimestoppers-uk.org if you want to remain anonymous.
Is it worth it? It can seem a waste of time if police fail to respond immediately or indeed at all. Policing in West Hampstead is a numbers game. Every incident you report will be logged and could mean policing of Lymington Road is upgraded.

It's a problem particularly on Lymington Road Estate. LRRA is campaigning for better enforcement of parking fines. Meanwhile, go to https://www.camden.gov.uk/report-a-parking-problem to report any unauthorised vehicle parking anywhere on the estate and especially on double yellow lines -with pictures and registration numbers if possible.
Once again, you may not hear back. But, as Camden says, the information will be used 'to focus resources and prioritise areas'.

LRRA is campaigning to get Clean Up After Your Dog notices reinstated on Lymington Road. There's a bin for dog walkers at the end of the cricket pitch so NO-ONE should leave excrement on the pavements. Anyone finding it difficult to clean up after their pooch needs to find a solution. Sadly however it's a disgusting daily problem and photographs of offenders welcomed.
PLEASE NOTE: Residents are not allowed to exercise their dogs in the children's playground or the basketball pitch. The grassy stretch at the playground-end of Dresden Close is designated for dog walking.
Report any loss of heating or hot water to Camden Repairs. The easiest way is to use the 'live chat' button, usually (though not always) to be found at the bottom of this page: camden.gov.uk/heating-repairs.
Is it worth it? YES. Residents of Lymington Road Estate have suffered persistent episodes of loss of heating and hot water due to the estate's obsolete (and we fear poorly maintained) communal boilers.
LRRA has campaigned to bring this to the attention of Camden Council including an ongoing complaint to the Energy Ombudsman and possible legal action. A third 'temporary' boiler has recently been installed and - in December 2024 - residents are cautiously waiting and hoping for the best.
If you make a complaint, alwaysask for and make a note of your Case Number. This is vital to getting better service from GEM. You can also use it (along with your phone number) to share updates on your heating loss on LRRA WhatsApp group - and help the group monitor the situation. Email us with your phone number to join the group.
